Description
Comprehensive breast cancer prevention plays a crucial role in early detection, prevention, and effective treatment, reducing mortality rates, improving quality of life, and extending healthy lifespan for women. According to Globocan 2022, the incidence of breast cancer in Vietnam is very high, with a trend towards younger ages, and a significantly high mortality rate (8.3%). The goal of this article is to synthesize relevant literature on proactive healthcare to help women with comprehensive breast cancer prevention.
Medicine 3.0 is a new concept describing a healthcare approach focused on prevention and health promotion, rather than just early detection and timely treatment. The “5Ps” in Medicine 3.0 include: Prediction, Prevention, Personalization, Participation, and Precision, providing an integrated, community-oriented solution for comprehensive breast cancer prevention. Therefore, Medicine 3.0 encourages women to proactively participate in personalized and accurate breast cancer prevention.
The application of Medicine 3.0 and the “5Ps” should be promoted to improve the effectiveness of breast cancer prevention, reduce mortality rates, and extend healthy life expectancy for Vietnamese women.
